BaSys looks back on Fensterbau Frontale 2024 with satisfaction. Although the trade fair duo organised with Holz-Handwerk did not attract the same number of visitors as the pre-corona edition in 2018, we were one of a total of 644 exhibitors to benefit from the resurgence of Fensterbau Frontale after the weaker Summer Edition 2022. At the redesigned BaSys stand, visitors were interested in the hinge and striking plate systems in general and in the consistent design of the portfolio with the surface concepts on display. However, they were attracted by the new products.

The focus was on an object hinge system with a material thickness of 4 mm and a barrel diameter of just 20 mm instead of the usual 22 mm. This makes the “Objecta 2029/160/56-4” for flush doors and the “Objecta 2039/160/56-4” for rebated doors slimmer, but like the “2229” and the “2239” it can carry doors weighing 300 kilograms. Normal and heavy doors in a building can thus be designed with the same slim barrel diameter throughout.

In addition, the concealed hinges for flush doors, which BaSys markets under the name “Pivota DX”, were once again a focal point in Nuremberg. With the “Pivota DXS Close 2.0”, we are focussing on the low operating forces in 2024. This hinge, which opens the door up to 180 degrees and can be adjusted in three dimensions, integrates a door closer which, unlike visible overhead door closers, does not offer any resistance when the door is opened.

With the “Pivota DXS 80 3-D ZA Steel” and the “Pivota DX 110 3-D”, BaSys presented two hinges at Frontale that fulfil the architectural trend towards mirrorless frames and flush-fitting designs, even with heavier door weights. The “Pivota DXS 80 3-D ZA Steel” has been developed for frame doublings and carries 120 kilograms of door weight per pair. The “Pivota DX 110 3-D” overcomes doublings of up to 10 mm on both the sash and frame side. The load-bearing capacity is 100 kilograms per pair.
