Ever greater door weights and larger door panels are demanding hinge systems with a high load-bearing capacity. At BAU 2017, Basys is presenting the “Objecta 2239\/160\/56-4 SL” with “STV 135\/56 3-D”, a barrel hinge that has passed the tests for doors weighing 350 kilograms. Developing the product not only focused on the hinge itself but, above all, on the hinge receiver. <\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

With the “Objecta” product range, Bartels Systembeschl\u00e4ge has designed a door-hinge system which, equally as practical as aesthetically pleasing, is geared to a high frequency of opening and closing cycles while requiring no maintenance throughout its service life. This is ensured by the high-quality bearing system in which flange bushings with enlarged sliding surfaces are embedded in a special plastic for minimum friction. “Objecta” door hinges are tested and certified under DIN EN 1935 and conform to CE hinge classes 11 and 14 respectively.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A fixing pin featured in all left and right-opening “Objecta” door hinges distinguishes the product from the usual standard. Acting as fixing pins, the grub screws provide the additional benefit of burglary protection because when the door is closed they prevent the hinge pin from disengaging and the shaft from being driven out easily. These heavy-duty hinges also meet the demands on smoke protection, fire protection, sound insulation as well as escape safety.<\/p>\n

The new “Objecta” hinge follows this system approach with fixing pins as well as high-quality bearing materials. It is available for rebated and non-rebated door geometries. Basys also supplies mounting accessories, such as retaining plates for surrounding frames.<\/p>\n
